To lose without a fight ...

Today was Sunday ...
Some rest at last ...

Some much needed respite from the CO ( Computer Organisation ) subject ...
The last few days of the previous week were nightmares ... trying to complete 3 programs in Assembly ... and without any REAL debug tool to talk about ...
And did anybody say that we were over burdened ?
Nah ... we have the capacity to actually do CO - 24 hours a day ... for the rest of our lives ...
We totally love the subject ...

I think she's really gone overboard with the subject preparation thingy ...
If after all this, if we all dont end up getting 80+ , we should all probably commit suicide :p

Anyways, did actually complete the 3 programs by Saturday and keeping my sanity intact.
The viva also went pretty decent ...

Today, originally, wanted to go and catch Spiderman 2 ... was pending since quite long ...
But INOX is still charging 130 bucks for even the morning show ... rather wait a week more ... than get mugged ...
Tried calling them the entire morning, but their call center seems to have a holiday too :p

The other plan of the day was to catch dinner with friends ... ( friendship day and all ) ... we guys just need a reason anyways ... this also flopped coz of the miserable rains :( Haven't seen the sun since .. how long ... 8 days ... I think ...

So, sat at home and watched the India - Sri Lanka finals ...
Felt that initially, India did well to restrict the Lankans ... but then the batting was just miserable ...
Wasted the entire day ... not because India lost ... but they did so without a fight :@
Imagine the supporters who spent thousands and went all the way to SL to see the finals ...
Miserable ... utterly miserable ...
Playing bad is one thing ... and playing with no intention of winning at such a level is just, pure sacrilege ...

I mean ... even if they would have gone all out for 150 ... but would have done that trying .. it would be something ... Zaheer and Harbhajan put up about 50 - 60 runs for the 9th wicket ... and we lost by 20 something runs ...

Had the top order ( read : Tendulkar ) made some of these runs at a quicker rate, instead of just glorifying himself, we could have easily won ...
The only great thing about that guy is his past record ... He should retire now ... when he can still save face.
Atleast all the others tried to accelerate ...
What he is doing now, according to me, is just gathering runs in whatever few days are left of his heydays ...
